Research & Development

Project READ engages in research and development projects sponsored through a variety of grants and donations. We thank the following sources for their support: Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, federal Office of Literacy and Essential Skills (HRSDC), Trillium Foundation, Starbucks Foundation, Kitchener-Waterloo Community Foundation, Waterloo Region Record newspaper and the Waterloo Region Record Literacy Fund, Canada Post, Waterloo Wellington Chartered Accountants Association and the Region of Waterloo Social Services Department.
Some projects are community focused and the products are provided directly to adults or families in the community. Other projects focus on improving the resources and methods available to literacy educators so they can assist learners more effectively. Previous projects include:
