Research and Development

Project READ engages in research and development projects sponsored through a variety of grants and donations. We thank the following sources for their support: Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities, federal Office of Literacy and Essential Skills (HRSDC), Starbucks Foundation, Kitchener-Waterloo Community Foundation, Waterloo Region Record newspaper and the Waterloo Region Record Literacy Fund, Canada Post, and the Region of Waterloo Social Services Department.

Some projects are community focused and the products are provided directly to adults or families in the community. Other projects focus on improving the resources available to literacy educators so they can assist learners more effectively. Previous projects include:
